Introduction to Shearing day & options for your alpaca fleece

This BAS affiliated course is aimed at new and novice owners who are unsure of what shearing involves and apprehensive about what to do on the day. The course will prepare you for the day and give you lots of tips to ensure you are fully prepared and everything goes smoothly.


We will also cover the different options on what you can do with your fleece when you have all your bags of newly sheared alpaca fibre. Well cover skirting, processing and different options for converting the fleece into saleable items.


Youll go away from this course much better prepared for shearing day and with the knowledge of the different options for using and processing your alpaca fibre. There will be some practical sessions during the day including a chance to skirt alpaca fleeces.
