With only 28 sleeps till Santa Yew Tree Alpacas wanted to take the opportunity to fill lots of stockings full of alpaca goodies this Christmas!
So from Friday 13th - Sunday 15th November we set up shop in the stunning surroundings of Ely Cathedral, welcoming thousands of visitors and showcasing our beautiful alpaca gifts.
We were 1 of 150 gift stalls filling the Cathedral providing visitors with the perfect array of Christmas gifts ranging from crafts, clothing, cookery and flowers not forgetting the addition of some reindeer and elves.
The Yew Tree team were rushed off their feet for the entire 3 days as Elys' visitors absolutely loved the alpaca products and gifts, in particular our super soft socks went down a storm as they come in all different colours, patterns and lengths they are ideal for keeping warm this winter. As the weather turned very chilly on Saturday we saw the sales of our winter warmers soar including our handknitted beanies, berets, gloves and scarfs.
The Christmas Fair attracted visitors from all over the country and even had organised bus trips especially arranged for the Christmas Craft Weekend, it was therefore no surprise that visitor numbers rocketed to an amazing 8,000 people on Saturday alone.
The weekend was a great success and we would like to thank all of our new customers who visited us at Ely Cathedral and generously bought lots of lovely gifts. A massive thank you to Elaine who supported the Yew Tree stand throughout the weekend and coping with such high volume of sales in only a few days.
If you didn't make it to Ely Cathedral there is still plenty of time to stock up on Christmas alpaca gifts, visit us tomorrow evening in Buntingford for a spot of late night shopping or visit Brent Pelhams Christmas Fair this Saturday 28th November.
