Just in time for our Christmas season our new silver grey and ivory double knit yarns  have arrived.

We collected them from the East Anglia Alpaca Mill near Norwich in late October ready for our first event the Early Bird Christmas Shop. These totally natural yarns are 100% alpaca all from our herd here at Yew Tree. The ivory yarn is solely from our white fleeced alpacas those with a micron length of under 26mm. Our Silver grey is a mix of natural fleece colours, mainly white fleece but with some black Yew Tree fleeces added during processing to make the light grey colour.

The finished yarn is wound onto cones of between 500 & 900g at the mill, we then ball it into 50g balls and label it with our own Yew Tree labels.

 
These super soft yarns are lovely to knit with and have been labelled superior due to the higher processing quality and beautiful soft feel. You can try them out here and also buy knitting patterns for some of our accessories.
