For selling our alpaca socks, accessories and gifts, November is our busiest month of the year.
The Christmas season gets underway with the Yew Tree Early Bird Christmas shop at the end of October then we were straight into Fair time with the Essex Christmas fair at Cresssing Temple Barns- 2 extremely busy days when the cars were queuing for several miles on the entry roads.
We were fortunate to be selected for the lovely Ely Cathedral Christmas fair this year so mid November, with both day and evening sessions at Ely we were very busy and tired!
Only 3 days later we were setting up at Waddesdon manor near Aylesbury for week 2 of their Christmas fair. The fair is also part of Waddesdon Christmas light festival – as first time exhibitors and normally used to indoor fairs setting up in chalets was a challenge!
One of our 5 shopping days at Waddesdon was cancelled due to high winds but the remaining 4 days were hugely successful. We were especially popular for our cosy alpaca socks. There were lots of freezing feet in the very cold weather so we were busy taking the labels off so the socks could be worn on site!!
