We have 3 alpaca adoption packages for 2024; Bronze, Silver and Gold.
These packages are now available to purchase for 2024.
They are valid through to the 1st December 2024.
Summary
Bronze - Gift box with details of your chosen alpaca & alpaca goodies, an Autumn update via email on your alpaca and Christmas Card from your alpaca early Dec '24 (no visit to farm) £35
Silver - Gift box as above, gift voucher for £25, updates in Autumn and Christmas card £55

Bronze (all ages)
Our bronze adoption is wonderful present for alpaca lovers but are unlikely to be able to come to our farm to see them. Although it does not include a visit to the farm there's a lovely selection of alpaca related items and information on the adopted alpaca and alpacas generally. You also get an autumn update with email photo and a Christmas card.

The above all comes with a flat pack A4 gift box in either white or silver with a gift rosette. Easy to pop up when you give.
Silver (6yrs and over)
Our silver adopters receive all the goodies and info in the gift box but also a £25 gift voucher in a kraft card and envelope within the box. This is accompanied with a list of the prices and options that can be bought with the voucher some of which will enable them to meet and walk depending on the option selected, their chosen alpaca.
The Silver adoption contains a £25 gift voucher which is the cost of our Cria Capers event in late July and August. The alpaca adventure (no walking) is £30 per adult £15 per child and the lowest cost walk is £45 per person. If a walk is selected then the adopter can walk their adopted alpaca on the walk. Additional vouchers can be purchased at the same time as the adoption and added to the gift box.
Note if the adopter is 6-9yrs they can only use the voucher on adventure and cria capers events. Note on the Capers event they will not meet their alpaca.

Gold
Our gold adopters receive all the goodies and info in the gift box detailed above AND a £45 gift voucher in a kraft card and envelope within the box. This is accompanied with a list of the prices and activity options that can be bought with the voucher. If selecting a walk they will be able to walk with their chosen alpaca, feed him and take lots of pics.
The £45 gift voucher will buy an alpaca walk experience for one person (with either lunch or cream tea and home made cakes-event duration 2.5hrs). If the longer Extended Countryside walk is preferred then an additional £10 voucher should be purchased - this costs £55 for either lunch or cream tea, the event duration is 3.5hrs

**Note when you book the date on your walk we ask you to email us to request your adopted alpaca on this walk. If the alpaca already has a request on him for the date you have booked then you will be advised to book another walk date. There will be full details in the gift box.
Adoption Terms & Conditions
- The dates for the adventure are set for those above. If you cannot attend on any of the 3 dates there are no other options for adventure visits to see your alpaca.
- There are 8 adoptions available for each alpaca on the Silver and Gold options (combined) . There is not a limit on the bronze option.
- If you cannot attend on the adventure date you have booked you can change to a later date (if there are dates remaining at no extra charge up to 14 days before the date. Within 14 days there will be a £10 charge if there are places still available). If there no further dates e.g. the August adventure then there is no refund.
- If you do not turn up on the day you loose your booking, it is non transferrable.
- If you decide not to take up any of the options within the package they are non refundable
- The adopting of an alpaca does not confer any level of ownership.
- Note our 2020 adoptions are only available to buy from 1st Dec 2019 - 31st July 2020. They are unavailable from 1st August to the end of November 2020. The 2021 packages will go live on 1st Dec 2020.
Note posting dates for adoption gift boxes if ordering before Christmas
Note the last posting day for adoption packs to arrive by Christmas is Friday 20th Dec. Orders must be received by 5.30pm on Thursday 19th Dec to be posted on the Friday. The next date for posting your order for order arrifving after 5.30pm 19th Dec will be Mon 30th December 2019.

Our visits have been really enjoyed by our adopters. We had a great recommendation from Kate see below....
We really enjoyed our day at Yew Tree Alpacas. Many ‘adoptions’ give you very little chance really to meet your adoptive animal; however, this package seemed very well designed – I felt it would strike a good balance between keeping the alpacas happy, which is important, while giving my daughter the chance really to get to know more about them. The parcel sent out was fun to open and she enjoyed looking at the photos and the lovely sample of wool.
We were so lucky with the weather on that first visit – the farm was a beautiful setting with the sun out! We had plenty of time with the alpacas and a chance to ask all the questions we wanted. We came away feeling that we had really got to know more about these fascinating animals.
It was also nice to have the tea and cake offered and the chance to look at the knitted goods made with alpaca wool – all very tempting! We are really looking forward to coming back again in the summer.
